Meet Hanna!

Hanna Russmann is a senior multimedia journalism major at Simpson College. During her time there, Hanna has worked in every avenue of the media with a special emphasis in broadcasting and web.

Hanna interned with KETV News Watch 7 in Omaha and WHOtv Channel 13 in Des Moines. There, she learned the inner workings of the TV newsroom, wrote and edited news packages, wrote scripts for broadcast and added content to the web.

While attending school, Hanna worked for three years as a student web content developer for Simpson’s  Office of Marketing and Public Relations. It is here that Hanna first developed her skills to shoot, write and edit video for the web.

Finally, Hanna has worked as a board operator and DJ for both KSOM/KSWI  Meredith Communications in Atlantic, Iowa and KSTM 88.9 FM The Storm  at Simpson College. Hanna is the current co-host of KSTM’s morning show Beauty and The Blonde.
